NewsHear Beach Boy Brian Wilson's new material nowYou can hear one of Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson's eagerly awaited new songs now on NME.COM. As previously reported, the star will premiere a brand new song cycle on his UK tour later this month. The star will perform 'That Lucky Old Sun (a narrative)' in its' entirety for the first time on the tour, which kicks off with a six-night stint at London's Royal Festival Hall. Wilson says the piece "will consist of five 'rounds' with interspersed spoken word". It is based on the classic 1949 song 'That Lucky Old Sun', and though the new song suite will contain elements of the tune, there will also be newly composed songs too, one of which is called 'Midnight's Another Day'. And you can hear that song here now. The work was put together with Wilson's old collaborator Van Dyke Parks, who wrote the lyrics for the seminal 'Smile' album. Wilson said: "I'm so excited to get back to the Royal Festival Hall and for all of my UK fans to hear my new composition 'That Lucky Old Sun (a narrative)'. I honestly can't think of a better place in the world to premiere it." The set will also feature many back catalogue classics which Wilson has never performed live before, and a cover of a track from The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band', thought to be 'She's Leaving Home', marking the 40th anniversary of the album's release. The dates are as follows: London Royal Festival Hall (September 10 , 11, 12, 14, 15, 16) Bristol Colston Hall (18) Bournemouth Opera House (20) Edinburgh Festival Theatre (22) Manchester Palace Theatre (23) Birmingham Symphony Hall (24) Miami police seek Fat Joe for questioning Police in Miami are seeking to question Fat Joe in relation to a fatal shooting outside a restaurant in the city over the weekend. Two men in their twenties were shot dead after an altercation in a parking lot in the South Beach area. Lessli Paz, 25 was killed instantly while Joey Navarro, 26 suffered three gunshot wounds and died later in hospital. Police say the rapper Fat Joe may have been traveling in the same Cadillac Escalade and was probably a witness to the murders.
